WBKA Winter Talk – ‘The effect of air quality on healthy hives’ by Dr. Barbara Smith

Barbara Smith is Associate Professor in Agroecology at the University of Coventry. Her research focuses on how human activity impacts biodiversity, particularly pollinators. Unsurprisingly Barbara is a keen beekeeper herself!
Barbara is going to talk about their first project, supported by the BBKA, which looks at the potential impact of air pollution on bees and hive products. Many Warwickshire members took part in the project installing air pollution monitors in their apiaries.
