Here are the upcoming training courses organised by the WBKA or its branches:

Beyond the Basic Workshop @ Solihull School
Feb 23 @ 9:30 am – Feb 24 @ 4:30 pm

2 day winter workshop and ½ day spring apiary meeting. Led by experienced and qualified beekeepers to help members who have recently passed their Basic Husbandry Assessment progress to the next level of beekeeping. Topics covered include comb changes, using nucs, disease prevention & recognition, queen rearing, uniting bees, swarm management etc..
£25 per head Cost includes refreshments but not lunch.

Pre-requisites: WBKA Members who ideally have the Basic Husbandry Certificate or 2+ years experience. Members from nearby Associations are also welcome

Introduction to beekeeping weekend – Shipston on Stour @ Brailes Village Hall

Led by an experienced Beekeeper, our weekend course will give you an insight into and hands on experience of, the world of the honey bee and the role of the beekeeper.  Thereafter further regular practical tuition is available to SBK members through the following beekeeping season.
